My 6 Weeks on Retatrutide
I used Retatrutide for around six weeks. Here’s what happened, week by week, what I noticed along the way and my results at the end.

The biggest difference for me was how much I was eating. I still got hungry, but I got full much faster. I regularly left food on my plate, which is something I basically never did before.
Why I Tried Retatrutide
My main goal was pretty simple. I wanted to lose some body fat to help with pull-ups and gymnastics, and I also wanted to get a bit more ab definition.
I’d put on some weight earlier in the year and started at 82.9 kg.
I initially had 78 kg in my head as the goal, but there wasn’t anything scientific behind that number. I’d been around 78 kg for years before putting on the extra weight, so it just felt like a sensible place to aim for.
I wasn’t trying to get as light as possible. I really just wanted to get rid of the extra fat I’d put on and see how I felt.
Get back to around 78 kg, make pull-ups and gymnastics a little easier, and hopefully get some more ab definition.
Week by Week
Here’s how the six weeks actually went.
Week 1 — 82.9 kg → 81.0 kg
I started with 2 mg and it was way too much for me. I had pretty severe nausea for about four days and barely ate during that time. So the bigger drop in weight that first week wasn’t really a surprise, but it definitely wasn’t a good way to go about it in my opinion. Based on my experience, I’d recommend starting slowly and building up rather than jumping straight in at a higher amount.
Week 2 — 81.0 kg → 80.1 kg
After the rough first week, I dropped the dose right back to 0.5 mg. I felt much better and didn’t have the nausea I’d experienced the week before. I did notice my appetite increased compared with the first week, so dropping the dose definitely made a noticeable difference. I was eating more again, but I was still getting full quicker than I normally would and the weight continued to come off.
Week 3 — 80.1 kg → 79.7 kg
I stayed at 0.5 mg and felt good overall. My cravings started to come back a little this week, but I was still getting full quicker and eating smaller portions without really thinking about it.
Week 4 — 79.7 kg → 79.6 kg
I increased to 1 mg this week and had no issues with the higher dose. My appetite and cravings dropped again compared with the previous week, but my weight barely moved.
Week 5 — 79.6 kg → 78.2 kg
I stayed at 1 mg and was really enjoying how things were going. I hadn’t really changed my lifestyle or had to think much about dieting, but I was still getting results. By the end of the week I was pretty much at the 78 kg target I’d originally had in mind.
Week 6 — 78.2 kg → 76.9 kg
I was overseas this week and had some amazing food, but portion control was still the biggest difference. I regularly didn’t finish meals, whereas normally on an overseas trip I’d eat myself silly. I still really enjoyed the food, I just didn’t eat as much of it. I was also doing a lot of walking, which may have contributed to the bigger drop in weight at the end.

Taking Retatrutide
I took Retatrutide once a week by injection. The injection itself was straightforward and honestly wasn’t something I thought much about after the first time.
The only real issue I had was the amount I took in the first week. As mentioned above, 2 mg was far too much for me. After dropping back to 0.5 mg and later moving to 1 mg, I didn’t have the same problems.
My Thoughts After 6 Weeks
The biggest thing for me was how easy it made portion control. I still got hungry and I still enjoyed food, but I got full much sooner. Leaving food on my plate became pretty normal, which definitely wasn’t normal for me before.
What I liked most was that I didn’t feel like I was constantly dieting. I wasn’t counting calories or making major changes to my lifestyle. Even when I went overseas and was eating really good food, I could enjoy it without feeling like I needed to eat everything in front of me.
The first week was obviously the big negative. Starting at 2 mg was too much for me and the nausea was pretty horrible. Once I dropped the dose, though, I didn’t have those problems again.
Overall, I was really happy with the six weeks. I went from 82.9 kg to 76.9 kg, got noticeably leaner, and did it without feeling like dieting was taking over my life. That’s probably what I liked most about it.
Would I Use Retatrutide Again?
Definitely. I was really happy with the results, but more importantly I liked how easy it felt compared with trying to diet normally.
For me, the biggest benefit wasn’t completely losing my appetite. I could still enjoy food, I just felt satisfied with much less of it.
I also suspect the experience may have improved some of my eating habits longer term, particularly around portion sizes and not feeling like I need to finish everything on my plate. It’s still too early to know whether that will stick, but it’ll be interesting to see.

About Supp Science Reviews
Supp Science reviews are designed to show what actually happened when someone used a product — not just whether they liked it.
Where it makes sense, we document things like photos, measurements, weight changes and other relevant results alongside the person’s own experience.
Not every review will look the same because not every product has the same kind of result to measure.
Most importantly, we don’t remove the bad parts. If someone has a poor experience, doesn’t get the result they expected or simply doesn’t like a product, that’s part of the review too.
Individual experiences are just that — individual. Someone else’s results don’t mean you’ll experience the same thing.
